Surfside Pier

Visitors to the Surfside Pier are in for a day of great fishing fun on a pier that has taken a licking and kept on ticking. Built in the early 1950s, this pier has been rebuilt three times with Category 5 Hurricane Hugo causing the most recent damage back in 1989. The Surfside Pier was reduced from an 800-foot pier to a 100-foot pier as a result of this pier, but since then has been rebuilt to its former glory for all fishing enthusiasts to enjoy and visit. Daily fishing passes can be purchased for fishermen to come and try their luck at catching a varied range of fish including Mackerel, Flounder, Bluefish and many more varieties. Any time you visit can produce a new type of fish to be caught so be prepared for anything. Friendly and expert fishermen are on hand in the tackle shop to assist you with tips on fishing, bait, rods, and reels. Fishing tournaments are also held here at varied times throughout the year for additional excitement and challenging fun. After you pack up for the day, be sure to visit the gift shop for a nautical trinket to remind you of your day of fishing fun at the Surfside Pier. Visit today at 11 North Ocean Boulevard in Surfside Beach, SC 29575 and call for more information.
