Merry Christmas from Myrtle Beach!
As I write this blog, it is December 25, 2013 and Christmas Day is nearly over. We had a colder than average Christmas here at the beach, but that just made it feel more like Christmas and made it more fun to bundle up and go take a stroll on the beach to enjoy the sunrise peeking over God’s creation. While we might not have snow, we do have all the warmth and southern traditions one could ever hope for and that makes for one down-home Christmas, Myrtle Beach style! There’s nothing quite like gathering your entire family in one big beach house and enjoying the holidays together. It has become a family tradition for many families all up and down the east coast.
Since Myrtle Beach doesn’t roll up its sidewalks and turn into a ghost town at Christmas anymore, there’s still lots to do throughout the rest of December to enjoy your holiday season all the way to the very last second! Catch the Shadrack Christmas Light show at the ball field for a true feeling of Christmas magic. One ticket per car, turn your radio to a certain station and drive through the absolutely stunning light display with music and lights synched up to dazzle you! This will bring out your inner child for sure. Go see a Christmas show! Most of them play through the end of January, so you can still enjoy them awhile longer. They are all awesome and we are so proud here in Myrtle Beach to have such talented casts as The Carolina Opry, Alabama Theater, Legends In Concert and The Pirates Voyage, just to name a few. They get better every year, so don’t miss it!
However you chose to spend your Christmas, we here at Oceanfront Vacations pray that you enjoyed your family and friends and are able to celebrate all that God has done for us all this year. Take a little time to love on one another and make it a Christmas to remember! Merry Christmas from our hearts and homes to yours!
